Unconditional Love

I have never learned so much about the world and about myself in such a short amount of time as I have since I’ve had my son. The last four months have been a whirlwind. My life has been turned upside down and inside out with all of the best features showing. My sense of time has been altered. I went from counting time in minutes and hours to now seeing it in increments of bottles, wet diapers, and monthly milestones. It may sound cliche, but I never could have imagined a deeper love. Honestly. I recently saw this great TedTalks video on the subject and just had to share. Enjoy.

A New Addition to My Little Family

IMAG0447Meet Diego. At just two months old this little guy has stolen my heart. Not only is he an incredibly calm and affectionate puppy, but he also seems to love my pregnant belly. – Elisabeth Kubler-Ross in 1975

To Care or Not to Care?

You can’t make somebody care.

All throughout my life I have encountered people at various stages of the caring spectrum. From over privileged friends who bask in attention and love, too self centered to realize how fortunate they are. To the forgotten Continue Reading…

A Wonderful Gift

Hands-HoldingIt came as a surprise. Before I knew it my ordinary life was turned upside down and violently shaken into something you only hear about in movies. I had had my share of shocks and surprises in life, but none like this. A wonderful gift, a baby, for me. Continue Reading…

What is love?

loveSo many people center their lives around this feeling- Love. We search for it, we crave it, we need it, and we can’t seem to get enough of it. It’s a drug in itself… the high that we get from it when we feel it is unlike anything else. It can literally be addictive, especially if you don’t feel a lot of love for yourself. Because then you depend on someone else for it. Continue Reading…
